In our personal (read: sexual) lives you can basically place yourself in one of three areas on a very simplistic chart: vanilla, curious (or on the fence) and kinky. Everyone will have varying degrees but ultimately you can still grab one of those three titles and slap it on yourself. Vanilla, for those who aren’t aware of the term sexually, are those people that are conventional in their sexual lives – for them they are happy with just having intercourse with no outside elements. There is no bondage, anal sex, cosplay, spankings, outfits, worship of specific body parts, groups, or any of the other thousand fetishes involved.
Much like in their own lives there are fetishes available in anime, hentai and AV. Some may only be possible in the animated world, such as tentacle rape, but most of it can parallel real world fetishes; maids, lolita (loli), futanari, incest, yaoi/yuri, girls with glasses, etc.
